Who am I?

My name is Jaclyn Marie. I’m nineteenyears old (01-28-1991). I’m five feet, four inches tall. I weigh more-or-less 118 pounds. I was raised Catholic and am a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Junior Chapter, Court #2345. Even so, there are many things about my church that I disagree with. I’ve recently discovered I enjoy reading a lot and English is my preferred language to read. Oh, right…I hadn’t mentioned; I’m Puerto Rican! I love living in Puerto Rico but I’ll probably move as soon as I graduate from my bachelor’s degree. I enjoy reading, writing, music, friends, the beach, being tanned, and a billion more things!

How is school going?

I was my senior class president 1. Now I’m a freshman at the University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez Campus majoring in English. My aspirations are to be a journalist and an author. I did pretty good my first semester getting A’s and B’s.

Family?

My mom is my hero and I’ll love her forever. Bittersweetly, she was always an angel but God officially needed her back in Heaven on Dec. 14 1999. No one has ever, and will never show me love the way she did. She was always happy and I’ll always miss her. My father? I never met, spoke to or received correspondence from him before April 11th, 2009. This story is starting to be written.

I have one sister who is happily married with the most wonderful brother-in-a-law a girl could ask for! To me, he’s a real brother. They have an almost two year daughter named Leilani Michelle. I adore her! She makes me incredibly happy and I miss her whenever we’re apart which is why I stay for at least a month when I visit. They live in Buffalo, NY and because of that I’ve had two snowy Christmases these past years.

Whenever I start my own family, I want at least 4 children. I want one of my children to be adopted. If there are children needing homes and I can provide one full of love, why shouldn’t I? I would never wish for a child to be an orphan. No one needs to be alone when there are so many people on this planet.

Love?

Well…this is a whole other story!

  1. Also in charge of the school newspaper. I was Honor Society President for two years, member of the Student Council, president of P.A.W.S. (Puerto Rican Animal Welfare Society) club at my school, and several other organizations I can’t remember at the moment. []
